Who can use SpeciNate
Anyone can give as a guest. No account needed. Steward organizations create an account to manage their registry. You're responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
Contributions and payments
All contributions are processed securely through Stripe. A small required add-on, the Transparency Pass, makes sure your whole gift goes straight to the teams and animals, without losing a penny. It also gives you tracking and real digital proof showing it's in hand or in use. SpeciNate covers Stripe's processing costs out of that fee. You can request a refund within 2 days of your gift. We refund your gift and the Transparency Pass. Only Stripe's own small card processing cost is not refundable.
Verified stewards
Wildlife organizations must meet our verification standards to become a steward of SpeciNate. We can and will end that standing if organizations fail to meet our standards. Your contributions only go to verified stewards.
Steward add-ons
Add-ons like Intelligence Suite are billed monthly. You can cancel any time from Billing. Access continues until the end of the period you already paid for. We don't refund that period.
Your content
You own what you create. By posting on SpeciNate, you grant us a license to display and use it to operate the platform. All SpeciNate content is protected by copyright.
What's not allowed
Don't use SpeciNate for illegal activity, harassment, fraud, misrepresentation, or anything that harms wildlife or conservation. Violations result in account termination.
What we can't guarantee
SpeciNate provides the platform as-is. We are not responsible for the independent actions of wildlife organizations or the outcome of specific conservation projects. We work hard to vet our stewards, but we can't control what happens in the field.
