Our commitment
SpeciNate is working toward full conformance with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. We're not fully there yet and want to be transparent about that. If something isn't accessible to you, email corianoharris@specinate.com. We respond within 48 hours.
Known issues we're fixing
- Live form validation isn't always read aloud right away by screen readers. Field labels and error text are there, but real-time typing errors can need a refocus to be announced.
- Some video content lacks closed captions. Every video on the site is uploaded by a steward, so this needs a captioning feature, not a one-time fix.
What's working
- Keyboard navigation with logical tab order and focus indicators
- Skip navigation links
- Alternative text for images
- Semantic HTML, proper heading hierarchy, and descriptive link text
- Form labels and instructions
- Text color meets minimum contrast ratios against its background
- Compatible with JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, TalkBack, and screen magnification
